Free Google Adwords guide
Posted on November 6, 2007 in the Marketing, My Stumbles category
Over 2 years ago, I embarked on an internet journey that eventually led down the internet marketing road. The idea was to cash in on various affiliate programs by using various free marketing methods along with Google Adwords Pay Per Click (PPC). I read articles, bought books and ebooks, and studied all I could before spent any money on marketing. Perhaps I am just a dope and didn’t get it or maybe the Big Dipper was in alignment with Uranus but I ended up blowing thousands of dollars on ineffective advertising.
I found this free Adwords resource written by PPC Professional Steve Baker. It is a UK site but the information is applicable independent of geography. Anyways the site is a thorough online guide to Google Adwords and is available completely free. In addition, you can buy the AdWords Agency Secrets Revealed! ebook. Just knowing how great the site is, I can only imagine the great information in the paid for book.
My favorite article was on “Optimising Your Adwords Bids.” A common problem of mine was trying to balance what I paid for each click against where I wanted my ads to show up for relevant search terms. This article takes into account your keyword bids, click through rate, and conversion rate and describes how each one is affected by the other so that your campaign is in harmony with your budget.

Did you know that some colleges have courses in PPC marketing now?
Really? Sounds great - my experience tells me that tech related courses tend to be a bit lacking at college. Hope they keep up with things.
well… Do you have additional articles like exposed in this post ? It’s a good material.

Very readable blog and what a totally adorable Vinny!
