Wish I knew about this last week

You probably have read about my recent adventures in mountaineering. My friend Dave and I have embarked on a quest to summit all 48 of New Hampshire’s peaks that are over 4000 feet high and become members of the 4000 Footer’s Club. This is no quick undertaking - we have done only one so far and will do another at the end of this month which will probably be the last one before winter. Even if we do 10 a year (HA!) its a five year project . . . either way we will get it done.
I had mentioned the need to get hiking boots for the next climb - after working this weekend at NHIS I was able to come up with the money for the boots I wanted. Last week I bought the Asolo Fugitive GTX hiking boots (not cheap). I was thinking about buying them online but everywhere I looked, I couldn’t find them at a better price than in the store (not to mention paying for shipping). I couldn’t find any sales or promo codes so I just bought them in the store.
Then I learned about CouponChief. Not only was I able to find a 15% off coupon code for ShoeBuy (have the boots I bought, cheaper and no shipping charge, I would have saved over $30), but I also found great discounts at Cabela’s so I can get properly outfitted.
Hindsight is 20/20 of course - don’t make the same mistake I did and spend more than you have to, check them out.
