Throw a "Purple Party" NOT about Barney

Posted on September 23, 2007 in the Uncategorized category

Even though World Alzheimer’s Day has come and gone (it was September 21st) it is not too late to do your part to help the Alzheimer’s Association reach their million dollar goal. The good news is that they are nearly there at 94% of their goal and with your help, they may make it by the end of September.

How can I help?

You can host a Purple Party to help drive awareness and donations for the cause. By registering soon, you will get your own web page on ActionALZ where they will help you plan your event and give you a free party kit if you agree to raise $150. In addition, for the remainder of September, all donations made will be matched, dollar-for-dollar, by The Harrah’s Foundation.

Also - visit ActionALZ for many other great fundraising ideas to benefit Alzheimer’s research and awareness. In addition to party style events there is a golf event called Round To Remember. You could choose a day of cycling, bowling, canoing, and other athletic event (or not so strenuous activities if you prefer). If think you just can’t find the time to participate because of work, well you can even have a workplace hosted event. All you have to do is find the one that will work for you and sign up today.
