Zookoda - Its about Email, not animals

Its all about the traffic.

Though I am sure there are a few of you out there who might say otherwise, most of us bloggers would prefer it if people actually read what we are writing. Aside from that, it would be nice if people returned to our blogs from time to time - just to see what is new. In addition, new and returning traffic is essential to anyone looking to monetize their blog.

A great way to turn new visitors into return visitors is with email marketing - a.k.a. a periodic newsletter. I, being of the ilk that would love to monetize my blog, know that one of the best ways to make money online is by creating your own opt in email list. Problem is that I have no idea how to do it.

This is where Zookoda comes in. Zookoda is a web based email application that enables you to create your own subscriber list and send out periodic emails. They provide the interface you need to make subscription forms that go on your blog, the ability to match your email style to that of your blog, and get real time reports of how your newsletter is doing.

And its all free (don’t ask me how they do it).

I am trying it out right now - so far things look great. The interface is intuitive and, even though it is free, it is a fully functional application. I will soon have a form up so people can sign up for my newsletter.
