Adventures Of A Stay At Home Dad

Just trying to balance two little boys and my sanity . . .

Not quite as planned

It was supposed to be easy.

I quit my job, stay at home to raise my son (now sons), establish an insanely profitable home business, wife quits working, we all live happily ever after.

Fast forward two years . . . I have been successful in quiting my job, raising my 19 month old and 5 month old sons, and in spite of various issues - we are all happy. You might have noticed that I left a couple of things out - my wife is still working and, even though I have established a home based business, it is far from profitable yet.

I am not going to get into the business details here (you can check out my business here), suffice to say that it is a great business idea for moms or dads staying at home and it has unlimited profit potential. My issue is that I have no real idea how to market it on a near zero dollar budget. I have tried many free and very cheap methods of marketing but the problem is the type of business this is requires a level of professionalism be conveyed through the marketing tool. I have yet to accomplish this with flyers and bulletin board postings :(

Other than the marketing issues, many people I tell about the business think it is too good to be true when, in reality, its just a matter of discipline and math.

Perhaps - if there is anyone paying attention - take a look at my business and offer some suggestions. Thanks in advance!
