I must be crazy

A good friend of mine, Dave, is coming up for the weekend. He has been trying to visit for a couple of months now but things have been hectic for him as his wife just gave birth to their first child, Christopher, just a few weeks ago.
I am excited that he is coming as we are planning to go hiking up 4000+ ft Mt Tecumseh - the first of 48 such mountains in the White Mountain National Forest. I am not quite sure why we are doing it - because its there, I guess, and it seems like a fun idea. Neither one of us is in any kind of shape to do such a trip but we have done dummer things before. At lest now that we are out of college we are resorting to less destructive behavior than copious drinking.
If I am still alive when we get back, I will be sure to post some pictures and let you know how many blisters I have on my feet!
