Its a childhood dream come true . . . I can finally settle the bet with my best friend as to which one of us sucks less at pitching!
Recently I checked out RadarGunSales.com, website for Radar Sports. Funny thing but I had no idea that they made radar guns for anything other than baseball and the police. Apparently you can get a radar gun for any sport that uses a ball or a puck.
That being said, my primary interest is in baseball - first because of my long standing bet with my friend that I can pitch at least over 30MPH without ending up in the hospital, and because I am pretty sure my 19 month old son will be the next Nolan Ryan (go ahead and laugh . . . you’ll understand when he throws his sippy cup at your head). One model that they offer, the SR3600 Sports Radar Gun, looks like a good compromise between cost and performance. This model has a one year full manufacturer’s warranty and, like everything they sell at RadarGunSales.com, is brand spanking new (not refurbished like other websites). On top of that, I am happy to see that everything is made in the USA and shipping within the US is free.
