Free Online Data Backup

In my previous life I was a computer technician. For well over five years I would build computers from the case up, troubleshoot issues, and remove viruses and spyware. The most common thing I would tell people was backup, backup, backup!
One of the most basic and inexpensive things you could do to protect your data was also one of the most commonly overlooked things. People didn’t want to take the time to do it or thought it was confusing, etc. Perhaps in the past I would give a little credence to their complaints, but not any more.
IDrive-E provides online backup for FREE. Offering this service for free just a couple years ago would have been unthinkable. They give you 2 gigabytes of backup space for absolutely anything that you may need to back up - photos, media, important documents, etc. It is a decent amount of space for an individual or family.
